# Job Rate Manager

## Product Overview&#x20;

Digital Worker Name: Job Rate Manager 1.0&#x20;

Release Version: Q3 2026&#x20;

Release Date: Sep 15th, 2026&#x20;

## What’s New&#x20;

This release introduces the Job Rate Manager Digital Worker, a new autonomous worker that interprets, classifies and corrects labour time reported in IFS Cloud according to the configured union agreements.&#x20;

It applies configured union rules to reported labour time and corrects work task transactions in IFS Cloud where required. Transactions can be updated or split to reflect the appropriate classification while maintaining human oversight, transparency, and control throughout the process.&#x20;

### What’s new at a glance:&#x20;

* Work Task Time Classification classifies reported labour hours into straight time (REG), overtime (OT), and double time (DT) based on configured union rules.&#x20;
* Union Agreement Application determines the applicable union profile and rate agreement and applies the configured time classification rules.&#x20;
* Schedule, Day & Premium Rules applies configured daily and weekly overtime thresholds, day-based rules, shift differentials, and rest-period conditions based on the applicable union profile.&#x20;
* Rate Agreement Validation verifies that a valid employee rate agreement is available before transaction changes are posted. &#x20;
* Work Task Transaction Correction updates the existing transaction when its classification is incorrect and creates additional transaction lines when hours must be split across multiple pay categories. &#x20;
* Exception Handling & Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) Review identifies missing, invalid, or ambiguous classifications and configuration, and routes exceptions for human review where input or action is required.&#x20;
* End-to-End Visibility & Auditability delivers clear business-facing outcomes for processed, blocked, and error cases through the ERP and IFS Loops Agentic Studio.&#x20;

## Changes in Product Offering&#x20;

<details>

<summary><strong>New or Enhanced Functionality</strong> </summary>

This release introduces the Job Rate Manager Digital Worker as a new capability in the IFS Loops ecosystem.&#x20;

The digital worker automates the classification and correction of labor time reported against work tasks. It applies configured union rules and updates work task transactions in IFS Cloud when corrections are required, combining agentic automation with human oversight.&#x20;

### Release Scope & Constraints&#x20;

This section outlines the supported labor time classification, integrations, and processing constraints for the Job Rate Manager Digital Worker in this release.&#x20;

#### **Supported Job Rate Management Scope**&#x20;

The digital worker supports automated labor time classification and transaction correction with the following characteristics:&#x20;

<details>

<summary><strong>Time Transaction Scope:</strong> </summary>

* Individual work task labor time transactions in IFS Cloud
* Classification into straight time (REG), overtime (OT), and double time (DT)
* Update of the original transaction when a correction is required
* Creation of additional work task transaction lines when reported hours must be split across pay categories
* No transaction changes when the existing classification is already accurate

</details>

<details>

<summary><strong>Union &#x26; Rate Scope:</strong></summary>

* Configured union profiles and associated rate agreements
* 5x8 and 4x10 work schedules
* Daily overtime and double-time thresholds
* Weekly overtime rules where configured for the applicable union profile
* Saturday, Sunday, holiday, and make-up day rules where configured
* Shift and rest-period rules where supported by the applicable union profile

</details>

<details>

<summary><strong>Validation &#x26; Exception Scope:</strong> </summary>

* Employee and rate agreement validation
* Resource group validation
* Work Order Time Type validation
* Project Report Code validation
* Detection of missing or unsupported configuration before transaction updates are posted
* Processing outcomes for completed, blocked, and error scenarios

</details>

<details>

<summary><strong>Communication Channels:</strong> </summary>

* Human-in-the-loop notifications, summaries, and review interactions through the configured collaboration channel (for example, Microsoft Teams)

</details>

#### Known Limitations & Edge Cases&#x20;

The following processing constraints and guardrails apply to this release: &#x20;

* Classification is limited to the union profiles and rules configured within the Digital Worker.&#x20;
* Rules that require information not available to the Digital Worker cannot be automatically applied.&#x20;
* Dynamic labor-law interpretation outside the configured union rules is not supported.&#x20;
* Where a classification cannot be reliably determined, the Digital Worker returns the transaction for review without making changes. &#x20;

In addition, Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) interactions provide visibility, summaries, and explainability for labor classification decisions and exceptions. HITL engagement is used where human review or input is required, including ambiguous classifications, conflicting overtime allocations, missing rate agreements, and other exceptions that prevent automated processing. Human decisions and overrides are captured to maintain traceability and auditability.&#x20;

### Prerequisites&#x20;

This section outlines the customer-side prerequisites that must already be in place to successfully set up and use the Job Rate Manager Digital Worker.&#x20;

These prerequisites are in addition to any configuration performed within IFS Loops.&#x20;

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://kb.theloops.io/releasenotes/release-notes/digital-workers-release-notes/job-rate-manager.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
